Carrier availability depends on the vehicle, drivers, history and current underwriting rules. We quote different markets case by case; names do not imply endorsement.

Florida's minimum has a gap most drivers never hear about.

The state minimum — $10,000 PIP plus $10,000 Property Damage — includes zero Bodily Injury Liability: the coverage that pays for injuries you cause to someone else. A driver can hurt you, carry not one dollar of it, and be perfectly legal.

That cuts both ways. It's why we talk about BI on every quote, and why Uninsured Motorist matters here more than almost anywhere: about 1 in 5 Florida drivers carries no insurance at all.

Real cases we handle every week

  • A new driver at home. Your kid turned 16, or a relative moved in. If they drive your car and aren't listed, the company will ask at claim time. Better to review now than discover later.
  • Rideshare or delivery. Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart. Most personal policies exclude commercial use. There are endorsements and policies built for app drivers — say it up front, not at the claim.
  • A license from another country. Some carriers work with foreign licenses. We know which ones, and we'll tell you straight — no runaround, no false promises.
  • An imperfect record. Tickets, an accident, a coverage gap. We compare across more than 30 carriers — one of them usually thinks differently than the rest.

How it works

Three steps, then we stay on it

  1. Send your current policy.

One photo on WhatsApp is enough. First car? Just tell us what you're insuring.

  2. We compare and explain.

Across more than 30 carriers, in plain language: what's covered, what's not, and where the real difference is.

  3. You decide.

We handle the paperwork and stay on it at every renewal.

Real reviews — mostly in Spanish. That tells you something.

Car insurance questions, answered straight

What car insurance does Florida require?

To register a private four-wheel vehicle, Florida requires $10,000 of PIP (Personal Injury Protection, under Florida Statute § 627.736) and $10,000 of Property Damage Liability (§ 627.7275). Florida does not require Bodily Injury Liability for private cars — one of only two states without that requirement. Legal is not the same as protected.

Is state-minimum coverage enough?

It keeps you legal, not covered. The state minimum includes no Bodily Injury Liability — the coverage that pays for injuries you cause to someone else. A serious accident can cost far more than $10,000, and whatever your policy doesn't cover comes out of your salary, your house, your savings. That's why we look at who drives, what you own and what risk you can actually absorb — not just the price.

Is Uninsured Motorist coverage worth it in Florida?

In Florida, yes. An estimated 20.6% of drivers in the state carry no insurance — just over 1 in 5, the seventh-highest rate in the country (Insurance Research Council, 2023 data). UM covers your injuries when the at-fault driver can't. Under Florida Statute § 627.727, insurers must offer it on every policy that includes Bodily Injury, and rejecting it requires your signature.

Does my policy cover Uber, Lyft or DoorDash?

Not automatically. Most personal policies in Florida exclude or limit coverage while the car is earning money through rideshare or delivery. You need a rideshare endorsement, a commercial policy, or delivery-specific coverage — and declaring the use up front, because finding out at claim time is the expensive way.

One photo of your policy. That's all it takes.

You don't need to understand your policy to send it — that's our job. Text a photo on WhatsApp, tell us who drives in your home, and we'll come back with something clear: what you have, what's missing, and how much you can save.
